Step-By-Step Peep S'Mores - for Easter snacks or kids dessert!

Do you need last-minute kids Easter snacks or desserts?  Are you looking for a quick, fun and easy Easter snack/dessert for kids?  Try making Peep S'Mores!

They are super easy and a fun way for kids to help out, too!

Here is what you will need:

• Box of Graham Crackers
• Hershey's Chocolate Bars
• Peeps 

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR PEEP S'MORES

Step 1
Break graham cracker into 2 square pieces, as seen below:

Step 2
Place pieces of Hershey's chocolate on top of graham cracker

Step 3
Place 1 Peep on top of Hershey's chocolate

 










Step 4
Turn on oven broiler

Step 5
Broil for about 40-50 seconds or until Peep turns a bit brown on top (DO NOT BURN)

Step 6
Remove from oven, Peeps will be soft, so take other half of square graham cracker
and press down on top of Peep.  It will look like this when done:

Step 7
Let cool on a plate or a rack.

Step 8
Enjoy!!

Dry and Disposable Washcloths for Babies

After my baby girl was born 4 weeks early at 3lbs. 13oz, of course my husband and I were cautious about everything!  I was very careful about choosing baby products and made sure to stay away from the ones that were potentially too harsh for her soft and delicate skin.  The hospital used dry/disposable washcloths soaked in warm water to clean her little bottom and to give her sponge baths.  As a new mom, who thought that using baby wipes was the norm, I was actually very happy that they used those dry/disposable washcloths on her to avoid any risk of skin irritation, diaper rash, etc.  When she was released from the hospital, she was sent home with a pack of dry/disposable washcloths and I did not use any of the wet wipes that I had initially purchased before she was born.  Let me tell you, I absolutely loved the dry/disposable washcloths!  I knew I was eventually going to run out, so I searched on the Internet on where to find them.  With much luck, I found them...see below for product link.

I rarely used wet wipes (Huggies, Pampers, etc.) on my baby's bottom for her 1st year and used dry/disposable washcloths on her as often as possible!  She never developed any signs of diaper rash, pink/red bottom, etc.  I endorsed these washcloths to every new mom I meet.  

How do you use them exactly?  

1. Soak 1 or 2 washcloths in warm water
2. Wipe bottom clean or use as wash cloth during bath
3. Take 1 dry wipe to pat dry  

NOTE:  Sometimes, I ordered wash cloths that were a little larger in size that I cut and doubled the amount!

Well good-bye summer and hello Fall!!  As we bid a fond farewell to the warm days of summer, for now, we are here to welcome, once again the months where the trees change into those beautiful shades of orange, red, yellow and brown!  Temperatures will slowly begin to drop, we pack away our bathing suits, swim trunks, tank tops and shorts in exchange for our fall fashions!!

Even though we say good-bye to the warmer climates and the amazing summer memories, we are excited for the fun holidays that the fall brings - Halloween & Thanksgiving!!  Even though it is only August, those holidays will be here before we know it, so let us get ready for it now!!

I have been a huge fan of Nutella hazelnut spread for a very long time.  I initially fell in love with this product, when I tasted a French crepe for the first time!  The crepes were terrific - a thin pancake filled with fresh fruit and Nutella, then topped with whipped cream!!  Honestly, I think the Nutella topped this delectable dessert!  The popularity of crepes spread like wildfire in California and of course was already a hit in other metropolitan cities already.  Eventually, Nutella became hugely recognized as well!!  Nutella is best at warm temperature and drizzled over any dessert!  We were hooked that it even took care of our chocolate cravings, since cocoa is one of the ingredients.


Up until about a month ago, Nutella was my preferred hazelnut spread, but soon discovered Nocciolata!  According to the Nutella website all that is sold in the US is made at a Canada plant.  Nocciolata is made in Italy and has so much more of a creamy texture where Nutella has more of peanut butter consistency.  Nocciolata tastes more authentic...the flavor of the hazelnuts really overpower more than anything else.  Since Nutella is now mass-produced and sold in almost every mega grocery store chain in the US - Albertson's, Wal-Mart, Target, Safeway, etc. - I have noticed that the quality is not the same as when I first had it.  I also feel as if it has lost special flair and is now at the same level as Jiffy & Skippy peanut butters - no longer as specialty item.  I found Nocciolata at Whole Foods Market recently,  when I was searching for an organic hazelnut spread.  I immediately fell in love with Nocciolata - just had so much more of an authentic, unprocessed taste to it!

My husband and I plan on doing the blind taste test this weekend to see, which we like best!  I will post our results from the blind taste test!!
 
One of my favorite ways to enjoy Nocciolata is taking a teaspoon of it, add a pump of canned whipped cream on top and enjoy!  Another way I enjoy consuming it is as a fruit dip, a cookie dip or just by itself on a spoon - AMAZING!
